Transactions

Sometimes some of my transactions from my bank are not imported properly, for whatever reason. This puts the balance out of whack. I need to be able to reconcile this balance instead of haphazardly updating it -- need to figure out which transactions were imported and which were not. This is a very tedious process right now :(

When you set up a rule that sends out an email notification for any transaction that matches the rule, you should be able to completely customize the contents of the email.

There is a lot of data to try to view in Transaction view. The 1" blank space margin on the left is completely unnecessary. This very much should be a Function over form

Synced transactions are never automatically reviewed, but if pending transactions can be marked as reviewed, then the reviewed status should carried over to the associated posted transactions (considering the posted transaction details are unchanged and an exact match with the pending transaction). This can be an opt-in preference toggled via the Settings page.

A simple pop-up calculator available from any one of the pages so you don't have to leave the program to use a calculator.

Sometimes there is a need to add, subtract or calculate a percentage of a given amount. Would be nice to be able to do so directly in the amount field. This is particularly useful when adding transactions manually, but also for editing existing.

Feature: (auto) match duplicated transactions and have a "match" and "disregard" button per matched transaction pair to merge / delete each duplicate transaction or keep both transactions. Like what QuickBooks has. Context: I prefer to input my transaction manually, then later or a few days later the transaction via Plaid will come through, which is when I delete it after confirming it is for the same transaction. Currently LM has the deduplicate feature which essentially does this but it takes a few clicks and doesnt always match accurately. It also bulk-selects and does not show its duplicated counterpart so I end up manually checking. If you are like me I buy ALOT off of Amazon.com So because its too much of a pain to break down those purchases into categories I just create one Big one called "Household Goods". Its a BIG category. It would be very helpful if we could get some of that data and improve the splitting of the transactions based off that info to improve the analysis of our spending.

When Plaid returns an investment transaction with type: buy and subtype: contribution , Lunch Money receives it as an outflow (debit) while users may expect it to appear as an inflow (credit), because it represents money contributed to their investment account. It would be helpful to treat these transactions as inflows by default, or to add a toggle under 'Advanced settings' that users can enable on a per-account basis. I have many accounts in different currencies, it would be very convenient to be able to use the ‘Create Transfer’ function to be able to enter these transactions in different currencies. I saw that there was already a request of this type but it was closed due to inactivity. I would like to reopen it so that it can be resumed as a development.
