Transactions

While going back through some old transactions, that had been imported from a CSV exported from Mint, I found several instances of transactions that should have been part of the same split transaction, but were instead totally separate. (For example, when I bought items in multiple categories in the same trip to the grocery store.) I would like a way to link such transactions so that, for nearly all intents and purposes, it is as if they were originally one transaction that was split.

Currently if I pay something in x quantity of installments I create a split from a transaction with the full amount of the purchase, when the amortization details needs to be input the only option to input its end date, but that makes me to count the amount of months. For example if I purchased in 6 installments I need to count may, jun, july..., could more easy to just input the number 6 for installments and the system to define the end date and create the recurrence. Quicken has this option for example.

I'm working on a little project to sync splitwise transactions to lunch money ( https://github.com/daniel5151/splitwise-lunchmoney ), and it'd be cool to have a credit-card style "pending/posted period" for API-imported transactions, similar to what plaid-imported transactions have. i.e: transactions could be set to appear "pending" for a few days (e.g: while friends make quick edits), and then transition into a "posted" state. My tool is totally workable without this feature... but form a UX perspective - it'd be a great way to visually indicate that the transaction is still "in flux"

I would like to be able to create a manual transaction in advance of the transaction occurring and have the incoming synced transaction automatically matched and "merged" into the manually created transaction. This is a great feature that YNAB has that allows me to proactively manage my finances. Use Case: I make a purchase on Amazon for $15. In the moment, I already have Lunch Money open so I decide to just throw the transaction in since I can categorize it right then and there. Later, when the transaction syncs from my credit card, it should automatically detect that I created a manual transaction and "merge" the incoming transaction details with the manual details.

A simple pop-up calculator available from any one of the pages so you don't have to leave the program to use a calculator.

Sometimes some of my transactions from my bank are not imported properly, for whatever reason. This puts the balance out of whack. I need to be able to reconcile this balance instead of haphazardly updating it -- need to figure out which transactions were imported and which were not. This is a very tedious process right now :(

Allow users to create custom fields for transactions of variable type (text, number, date, file). Support throughout the site including CSV imports.

I return a lot of my online purchases. I want to know if a seller has refunded me appropriately. The problem is that sellers typically refund days after I return. My current workflow is to create a reminder and manually check it on Lunch Money. It would be awesome if I can create an alert on Lunch Money so it will trigger if I'm not refunded within a time frame.

For cases where a sync issue causes many transaction to erroneously be flagged as deleted by the bank, it would be great to have a bulk option to resolve them ("keep transaction"). Currently, you have to individually click on "keep transaction" for each one.
