Use transaction date not post date

I propose to use the transaction date like financial institutions such as Chase do when displaying transactions, not the posted date. I'm sometimes confused in Lunch money because I see transactions displayed on dates when I know they didn't occur. For example, see the screenshot with coffee shop transactions that in Lunch Money appear to occur on the same date, but did not. Chase displays them on different days, which is accurate.

Plaid imported transactions now use 'authorized date' instead of 'posted date'!

I have confirmed also that LunchMoney is using a "posted" date rather than a "transaction" date. I can see both on Chase, but the "transaction" date is when it actually happened, so it feels more natural to have the transaction shown on that day in LunchMoney. Other budgeting software like Copilot also uses Plaid but displays the "transaction" date, which feels more intuitive here. Would love to see this prioritized :).

Hi Matt,
It seems like this might be a limitation of your bank and/or Plaid. I'm looking at the API docs from Plaid (https://plaid.com/docs/api/products/#transactions-get-response-authorized-date_transactions) and it seems like they support something called "authorized date" but it's returning null for my own data. I'll reach out to Plaid and see what the status of this field is. Without it, we don't have the means to get the proper dates.
I'll keep this space updated with any news!
