Right now, the search (and other text matching) doesn’t handle differences between small and big hiragana/katakana or between full-width and half-width characters. For example, if I import data from a CSV file, it might contain “ラクテン” (half-width katakana), but when I search for “らくてん” (hiragana), it doesn’t show up. This makes it hard to find results when there are variations in how the text is written.
It’s similar to how English search works with uppercase and lowercase letters. When you search for “Apple,” you expect it to match “apple” too. Adding this feature would make search much more intuitive, especially since differences in Japanese text formatting are so common.
