Better Collaboration capabilities

It would be really great to be able to collaborate on finances with your spouse, without having to expose all of your expenses into a single budget.
For example: We manage our budget by having a shared account that we use for most expenses (groceries, house payments, travel, etc). But we also pay into personal accounts to give ourselves some freedom to spend as we please for personal expenses (new golf clubs, toys, makeup, etc). It would be nice to be able to collaborate on a single budget, but be able to only see the expenses that are shared into certain categories.
My personal category expenses would only be visible to me, and her personal category to her, perhaps with an ability to share or hide the total category $$ .

That sounds like a different budget. Have you considered creating different budgets for concealed personal spending?
We handle this by putting personal spending in a unique category or a unique category group. Of course, we also share all spending. The question I would have is whether the path you shared actually offers better collaboration capabilities. From a development architectural view, this requires a bunch of complications that would raise server load, impact page after page where it would need to be implemented, and it would create a growth impact that would slow down adding future features.
