Yes, I so much need this. I have e.g. categories such as: "Services > Internet" or "Services > Electricity", which all get essentially a recurring payment each month (they're bills).
With the current situation, I have to:
- add the transaction to the category AND set the Merchant name_
...because the filter currently works based on the merchant name. If the filter could match based on Category, I wouldn't have to add a Merchant name at all, just the category+amount. (Clarification: adding a merchant name is redundant, because payments to "Electricity" always go to the same merchant, and it's only there to serve the filter).
