When you have the "Align months between views" option enabled on the Settings page, the view aligns between the Budget, Transactions, Recurring, and Calendar pages. If you are on a custom budget period (not by calendar month), it will always default to the earliest period in the current month, instead of the current period.
For example, if you have a custom period of "every 2 weeks" and November has the following periods:
  • Oct 24, 2025 - Nov 6, 2025
  • Nov 7, 2025 - Nov 20, 2025
  • Nov 21, 2025 - Dec 4, 2025
It will default to Oct 24, 2025 - Nov 6, 2025, because that's the period that contains the 1st day of the month. Instead, it should default to the current period for the current month.
Since the Transactions, Recurring, and Calendar use the calendar month, there's also a cascading period shift that occurs when using a custom budget period. With a custom budget period, switching TO the budget page will default to the period that contains the first day of the calendar month. For example, if you are looking at July 2026, it might default to a period like "25 Jun 2025 - 8 Jul 2025"). Then when you switch FROM the budget page to another page (i.e. Transactions), the Transactions page will default to the calendar month that aligns with the first day of that period, which is June 2026. If June 1st then falls in a custom period that extended between May and June (ie. "28 May 2025 - 10 Jun 2025"), it cascades and continuously changes as you switch back and forth to the Budget page.
